Join us in praise and worship and the exercise of the charisms.
Charisms = gifts.
We received all the wonderful gifts of the Holy Spirit at our Baptism and Confirmation. Many of us are not using those gifts in our daily lives; we need the encouragement of the body (our brothers and sisters in Christ). We have just that in our prayer meeting. When we allow the Spirit to be active, good things happen! God receives praise . . .others are drawn to Jesus through us . . . .the Spirit empowers their lives . . . .and we ourselves become filled with joy! This is truly a renewal, personally, and for the whole church. Charismatic Renewal: new life through the gifts (charisms) of the Holy Spirit.
A typical charismatic prayer meeting begins with uplifting song and praise. It might include scripture passages, a teaching on the spiritual life, or the gifts, or a sharing of how the Spirit has been active in someone's life. It is not unusual to experience profound joy and peace as others present pray over you for a further release of the gifts, or for healing. Our common bond is Jesus Christ, and within that unity we experience diversity and freedom and joy, the joy that is the mark of Christians. We can't wait for you to join us! Come soon!
