Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion have the honor of helping the priest to distribute the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass. Both Host and Cup ministers are assigned for the Masses on the weekends. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are trained in both areas and the assignments will vary between the Cup and the Host so that each minister has experience in both areas. Someone is assigned at each Mass to assist Father by getting the hosts from the tabernacle or by pouring the Precious Blood into the cups. Someone is also assigned to help purify the vessels after each Mass.
Please contact the Parish office if you are interested in becoming a Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. New Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion will receive training and be assigned to the schedule as soon as possible after training.
