Vocations Committee

RESPONSIBLE TO / REPORTS TO:
Pastor

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY(Why do you exist?): 
Promote Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious life in our parish.

FUNCTIONS: 
Meet as a group to plan how our parish can help men and women discern a vocation to the priesthood and religious life.  Also work together with the Archdiocesan Vocations Office and utilize their resources.  Work with Parish Youth Group Director to identify youth who may have a vocation.

OUTCOMES/GOALS (How will you measure your success?): 
Support men and women in their discernment of a vocation.  Encourage men and women to meet and discuss.  Attend various discernment meetings throughout the diocese.

TIME REQUIRED:
Meet several times a year and as needed.

TRAINING & SUPPORT PLAN:
Materials and support will be provided.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED: 
Interest in supporting men and women in their discernment of a vocation.
