Welcome Committee
RESPONSIBLE TO / REPORTS TO:
Pastor
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY(Why do you exist?): To welcome new families into the parish.
FUNCTIONS:
- To call newly-registered families, asking if they would like to meet with a committee member to answer any questions regarding the parish
- To bring new families a welcome packet prepared by the parish office
- To inform new families of events and ministries that are available.
OUTCOMES/GOALS (How will you measure your success?):
By the ease of new members becoming an active part of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish family.
TIME REQUIRED:
Basically, it’s only been the initial phone call welcoming them to the parish. Most families do not request a home visit.
TRAINING & SUPPORT PLAN:
No training necessary
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
No qualifications needed other than wanting to work with others.
TENURE/LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT:
As long as one is willing to serve.
