A Little History...
The year 2008 was a good year for Clermont County Habitat for Humanity, a chapter of the TriState affiliate. The chapter built two houses in New Richmond and placed two families in homes before the holidays. While the build in New Richmond was going on, the chapter had another group of volunteers rehabbing a house on Hibiscus St. in Loveland. Clermont Habitat is happy to report that the last four houses the chapter has built are Five Star Energy rated. These houses are built to US EPA and US DoE energy standards, which means the families will save on their energy bill through the life of the house.
In 2009 Clermont County Habitat will be building a new house at 318 Market Street in New Richmond. The ground breaking is scheduled for March 28, 2009. The family for this house is a single mom with two sons.
In April TriState will be starting an all WOMEN build in Hamilton. So all you ladies who have always wanted to help build a house this is your chance. Sorry guys this is for the ladies only. For more information contact Marilyn at 831- 0747 or log on to the TriState web site.
Clermont Habitat is always looking for families and affordable building lots.
