GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
We exist to foster the ideas and perpetuate the history and traditions of the Irish people and to promote Irish culture, which includes promoting friendship, unity, and Christian charity.
FUNCTIONS:
- To foster and sustain loyalty to county and community
- To aid and advance by all legitimate means the aspirations and endeavors of the Irish people for complete and absolute independence, promoting peace and unity for all Ireland
- To encourage civic participation
- To encourage an equitable U.S. immigration law for Ireland and to cooperate with other groups for a fair American immigration policy.
- To accept and support, without prejudice, the concept of free expression of religious practice for the people of the world.
- To protect and defend all life, born and unborn
OUTCOMES/GOALS (How will you measure your success?):
When all our members are working in harmony with the doctrines and laws of the Roman Catholic Church and fostering and sustaining loyalty to our country.
TIME REQUIRED:
Meetings are held at 7:30 PM on the 2nd Thursday of each month, and last from 60 to 90 minutes
TRAINING & SUPPORT PLAN:
The members' own Catholic faith
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
- Be a male residing in the United States, Canada, or the Western Hemisphere
- Prove his Irish ancestry
- Be a practicing Roman Catholic
- Be of good character
- Be not less than sixteen (16) years of age
TENURE/LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT:
Officers serve one year terms.
