Network of Care

RESPONSIBLE TO / REPORTS TO:
Bereavement Ministry leader

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY (Why do you exist?):
The Network of Care exists to assist families dealing with illness or loss by providing meals for the family.

FUNCTIONS:

  • This ministry brings dinners to families who have recently lost a loved one or may have a family member in the hospital.
  • This ministry also assists the Bereavement Committee in providing casseroles, vegetable/fruit trays for meals after funerals.

OUTCOMES/GOALS (How will you measure your success?):
We rely on the families that we serve to communicate their needs to us. If we have ascertained that the family's needs have been met then we have succeeded.

TIME REQUIRED:
Sometimes there is less than 24-hour notice for funerals, making it often difficult to fill the needs of families. Further, families often need meals made and delivered 2 – 3 times per week for one week up to three months time. The responsibility for providing these meals is shared by all members of Network of Care. No one member is expected to provide all the meals.

TRAINING & SUPPORT PLAN:
No training. Ministry leader's back up for requests is the parish office staff.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
Willingness to serve others.

TENURE/LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT:
As long as one is willing to serve.

Monday & Thursday:  Mass at Seton, 8:00am

Tuesday & Friday:  Mass at St. Andrew, 7:30am

*Wednesday: 1st, 3rd, 5th Mass at Seton, 9:00am

                       2nd & 4th Mass St.Andrew, 9:00am

Saturday: Mass at Seton, 8:00am
